Streamlined budgeting and forecasting

Depending on a company’s specific needs, I would create a repeatable, bottom-up budgeting/forecasting process that encompasses reusable templates, timeline planning, RACI identification, executive/Board presentations, and training to allow existing employees to continue the process.

CASE STUDY

Problem
A company had a very rudimentary budgeting process that was mostly a check-the-box exercise. Financial plans were of low quality, and the company had no way of gauging whether spending was too high or not.
Solution
Closely aligned with stakeholders, I worked to build the first bottom-up budget for the company. Headcount cost, the highest expense, became a detailed, precise calculation instead of a high-level guess. Spending plans were defined ahead of time at a granular level, creating the ability to measure financial performance and understand where variances came from.
