I have a unique background and skillset that enables me to help companies with financial forecasting, analysis, and more. My early career doing macroeconomic consulting honed my ability to dive deep into the numbers while keeping the big picture in mind, and it instilled a client-service focus in me. My 10 years at CVS Health gave me a large company perspective, offering insight into which governance processes are essential and which ones add unnecessary rigidity. Working in the Finance vertical as well as on Product teams afforded me traditional Finance experience as well as a keen understanding of business needs. And my time at XL Fleet (now Spruce Power) gave me the opportunity to build a successful FP&A function from scratch and help other departments improve their processes.
I understand that a Finance function must always yield meaningful insight and be a means to an end—it cannot be allowed to devolve into reporting for reporting’s sake. I know that one-size does not fit all, and there is no “right” formula that must dogmatically be used. Instead, I know how to home in on what’s important for a particular company to reach its goals and recognize that as companies grow and change financial processes and metrics must evolve in lockstep. I’m easy to work with and get along with a wide range of personality types. I have both the business experience to know what needs to be done and the technical skill to do it.
I hold an Economics degree from Connecticut College and an MBA from Babson College.
